Acne scar treatment
Scars in general and acne scars in particular make us feel uncomfortable in our skin. In some cases, these can even cause serious psychological distress. Because scars have less blood supply and pigmentation than the surrounding skin, they are noticeable. The unsightly impression they leave also occurs because the scar tissue is bulging compared to normal skin. Aesthetic medicine has modern treatment methods to gently remove scars and improve our well-being. Microneedling treatment is the treatment of choice.
Hair-thin needles are used here, which stimulates the skin's collagen and elastin production. The result is that the scar tissue recedes and the skin becomes smooth and flawless again. Another proven treatment method is scar lasering with a CO2 laser, which causes the tissue to regenerate and the scars to diminish. The deeper and older the scars are, the more aggressive and more frequently the treatments have to be carried out. Most often, collagen-stimulating fillers are used, which results in the deep scars being filled and collagen synthesis in the underlying tissue being stimulated.
